i think Tina Fey is a Goddess, and i worship her comic genius. my favourite directors are Guillermo Del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, El Orfanato), Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings. allovdem. fun fact: i can recite Galadriel's Lament in Elvish) and Christopher Nolan (Inception, Memento). everything they touch turns into gold. my favourite movie of all time is The Godfather.
reading also places highly in my books (haha... ha)... my favourite novel of all time is Looking for Alaska, by John Green. this is my favourite quote... it makes me feel so warm:
"I wanted so badly to lie down next to her on the couch, to wrap my arms around her and sleep. Not fuck, like in those movies. Not even have sex. Just sleep together in the most innocent sense of the phrase. But I lacked the courage and she had a boyfriend and I was gawky and she was gorgeous and I was hopelessly boring and she was endlessly fascinating. So I walked back to my room and collapsed on the bottom bunk, thinking that if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was hurricane."
then there is the entire Harry Potter series (::: hehe... i have authentic replicas of Hermione's wand and her time turner.
J.K Rowling is a literary genius.
other books i love reading and re-reading are The Picture of Dorian Gray (Oscar Wilde), Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close + Everything is Illuminated (Jonathan Safran Foer) and Love in the Time of Cholera (Gabriel Garcia Marquez)- basically anything by those authors is worth reading.
my 'youthful and naive' life advice is: if you have a dream or a goal, chase it. make it happen! be a do-er, because life is too damn short to stand around with nothing in sight.
my greatest passion is photography. it is something i see myself doing in the future, hopefully after i complete my business degree. i first picked up a camera when i was 16, and have been hooked since then. i try to post tips when i can, but feel free to comment and ask if you'd like to know anything. my photography idols are Tim Walker, May Lin Le Goff and David LaChapelle- even though on the surface i may not try to emanate their style, i am inspired by each of them equally. i prefer shooting models and in abandoned locations cuz it feels like there's so much more you can do, creatively.
